Deadline - ARC Entertainment has acquired U.S. rights for the global warming-themed drama Chloe And Theo. The film will hit theaters and VOD simultaneously on September 4, 2015. The story follows an Inuit man named Theo who travels to New York as part of an effort to draw attention to the destructive effects of global warming. While there, he meets a young homeless woman with a zest for life and an obsession with Bruce Lee – forming an unlikely friendship, the two join forces to fight climate change. Written and directed by Ezna Sands, Chloe And Theo stars Dakota Johnson, Mira Sorvino, Larry King, and newcomer Theo Ikummaq. Produced by Monica Ord of Artcica Films, who also exec produced it with Sir Richard Branson and John Paul DeJoria, the deal was negotiated by Ord on behalf of the filmmakers, and by Scott Moesta of ARC Entertainment.

The Wrap - “Fifty Shades of Grey” star Dakota Johnson’s latest movie “Chloe and Theo” has been acquired by ARC Entertainment, which will release the film in theaters and on VOD on Sept. 4, it was announced Monday by ARC’s head of acquisitions Scott Moesta.
Mira Sorvino, Larry King and newcomer Theo Ikummaq, which was written and directed by Ezna Sands.
“Chloe and Theo” tells the story of Theo (Ikummaq), an Inuit man from the Arctic who travels to New York City to warn world leaders about the catastrophic impact of global warming on the planet. Upon arrival, he meets a homeless girl named Chloe (Johnson), who has an unusual vigor for life. She is mildly delusional, and completely obsessed with Bruce Lee. Together, they will save the world.
“Chloe and Theo” was produced by Monica Ord, who also executive produced the film with Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson and Patron and Paul Mitchell founder John Paul DeJoria. The deal was negotiated by ARC’s Moesta and Arctica Films’ Ord on behalf of the filmmakers.
“‘Chloe and Theo’ is a very powerful, heartwarming story with stellar performances from Dakota Johnson and Mira Sorvino,” said Moesta. “We are absolutely thrilled to be distributing this film on the big screen and various platforms for fans across the U.S. to enjoy.”

The roster includes David Cross drama Hits starring Michael Cera, Amy Sedaris and Julia Stiles.

Spotlight is also selling Rosamund Pike thriller The Devil You Know and comedy drama Chloe And Theo with Dakota Johnson.

German indie film distributor Tiberius Film has picked up Chloe & Theo, the new film featuring Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson.
The comedic drama, from director Ezna Sands, sees Johnson playing a young New Yorker who strikes up a friendship with an Inuit environmental activist, played by Theo Ikummaq. Together they launch a campaign to fight global warming. Mira Sorvino and Adrian Martinez co-star.
Tiberius is planning a spring 2016 release in Germany for Chloe & Theo.
